Our story

For more than 30 years, the Festival International Nature Namur has been bringing nature lovers together through screenings, exhibitions, talks, and immersive activities. A passionate human adventure where each edition celebrates the beauty and diversity of the natural world.

La nature est un spectacle !

And the Namur International Nature Festival (FINN) has decided to showcase it by dedicating an intense week to it each year. If FINN has given itself a mission, it is to amaze. By sharing exceptional images with the public, it raises awareness of the richness of the natural world around them and encourages them to adopt a responsible attitude towards their environment.

Founded in 1995, FINN is today the unmissable event for nature lovers and lovers of beautiful images, bringing together more than 35,000 spectators and visitors from all walks of life each year! With its three international competitions – photos, amateur films and professional films – and its multiple nature activities, it is now one of the 5 largest European events of its kind.

In 2015, the Festival resolutely opened its doors to the world with more than 30 nationalities represented through the 300 films in competition and hundreds of photos exhibited! For the first time in the history of FINN, countries such as South Africa, China, the United States, Japan, Australia, Russia, Iceland and India were included in the program. Not to mention the number of directors and photographers who also answered the call by sending their images from the 4 corners of Europe.

And the 30th edition is on the same path! 2,055 films and 5,242 photos in competition! Needless to say, the pre-selection work is arduous and exciting.

How to choose from so many images, most of them exceptional?

This year again, discover our selection of some of the most beautiful animal photos and documentaries in the world for 10 days!

Everyone knows that biodiversity is in danger. May these fabulous images touch you, dazzle you and bring you a little closer to this wild nature that is crumbling more and more every day...
